He served as Deputy Director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, the Vice President and Secretary General of the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association (CPMA). He is currently the Vice President of CPMA, the committee member of the WHO Viral Hepatitis Prevention and Control Committee, and the Chairman of the Medical Institution Public Health Management Committee of CPMA, etc. He has long been engaged in vaccination, infectious disease control, chronic disease risk factor surveillance and disease burden research. He undertook a major project of science and technology in the field of infectious disease prevention and control called "Research on New Strategies for Hepatitis B Virus Immune Prevention". In recent years, as the first author and the responsible author, he has published a number of academic papers in journals such as New England Journal of Medicine, Lancet, Vaccines and other prestigious academic journals at home and abroad. He was awarded the special government allowances of the State Council and the title of "Young and Middle-aged Expert with Outstanding Contributions of the Ministry of Health". He got the Wu Jieping-Paul Janssen Medicial & Pharmaceutical Award in 2013. |
