Abstract：This paper reviews the situation and progress of injury and violence prevention and control internationally and domestically as well as in Zhejiang Province, and puts forward strategies for injury and violence prevention. It is suggested that a government-dominated department-collaborative mechanism be established to promote multi-sectors cooperation and policy promulgation; health promotion strategies be implemented to popularize knowledge of injury prevention and first aid; and health department specialty should be strengthened. The CDCs should expand injury and violence surveillance, carry out technical exchanges, intervene in the main categories and the prioritized target populations, to further promote injury prevention and the health of residents.
