Abstract:Objective To understand the epidemiological characteristics of imported malaria in Yiwu from 2012 to 2017,and to provide the basis for the prevention and control of imported malaria. Methods Collected from the National Disease Monitoring Information Management System,the data of malaria cases in Yiwu from 2012 to 2017 were described and analyzed. Results From 2012 to 2017,there were 193 cases of malaria reported in Yiwu,all of which were imported cases. The annual average reported incidence of 2.61/100 000. There were no death cases. Of the 193 cases of imported malaria,158 cases was Plasmodium falciparum malaria,24 cases was Plasmodium vivax malaria,9 cases was Plasmodium ovale malaria,2 cases was Plasmodium malariae,accounting for 81.86%,12.44%,4.66% and 1.04%,respectively. There were 171 males and 22 females,and the ratio of men to women was 7.77∶1. The average age was(36.67±10.02)years old. The imported cases were mainly commercial service personnel,accounting for 86.01%(166 cases). One case was imported from Yunnan Province,and the other 192 cases were imported from foreign countries,accounting for 99.48%. Africa was the largest source of malaria cases,accounting for 91.71%(177 cases). Conclusion Young,male and commercial service personnel are high risk population of the imported malaria in Yiwu,with mainly Plasmodium falciparum malaria imported from Africa.
