Abstract:Objective To investigate the screening results of high-risk cardiovascular disease (CVD) among residents aged 35-75 years in Nyingchi City, Xizang Autonomous Region, and to analyze its influencing factors, so as to provide the evidence for formulating CVD prevention and control strategies in plateau areas. Methods Based on the Early Screening and Comprehensive Intervention Project for High-Risk Cardiovascular Disease Population, a multi-stage random cluster sampling method was used to select permanent residents aged 35-75 years in Nyingchi City from 2016 to 2023. Data on demographic information, disease history, height, weight, blood pressure, blood glucose, and blood lipids were collected through questionnaire surveys, physical examinations, and laboratory tests. Multivariable logistic regression model was used to analyze influencing factors for high-risk CVD among residents. Results A total of 8 803 residents were surveyed, including 3 701 males (42.04%) and 5 102 females (57.96%). There were 3 239 residents (36.79%) aged 40-<50 years. A total of 2 334 cases of high-risk CVD were identified, with a detection rate of 26.51%. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that residents aged ≥50 years (50-<60 years, OR=1.953, 95%CI: 1.546-2.466; 60-<70 years, OR=2.653, 95%CI: 2.072-3.398; 70-75 years, OR=3.594, 95%CI: 2.625-4.921), farmers (OR=1.389, 95%CI: 1.144-1.687), those with a history of hypertension (OR=16.888, 95%CI: 14.433-19.760), and those with a history of dyslipidemia (OR=3.085, 95%CI: 2.664-3.572) had a higher risk of high-risk CVD. Conclusions The detection rate of high-risk CVD in Nyingchi City is relatively high. Residents aged ≥50 years, farmers, and those with a history of hypertension or dyslipidemia should be prioritized as key targets for health intervention.
