| Current status and influencing factors of comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia among residents in Jiangbei District |

Abstract Objective To analyze the current status and influencing factors of comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia among residents aged 35-75 years in Jiangbei District, Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province, so as to provide evidence for optimizing the hierarchical and tiered management strategy for the integrated management of these diseases and rationally allocating health resources. Methods From 2019 to 2025, permanent residents aged 35-75 years in Jiangbei District were selected as study participants using a multi-stage stratified random cluster sampling method. Gender, age, body mass index (BMI), waist circumference, blood pressure and blood biochemical indicators were collected through questionnaires, physical examinations and laboratory tests. The prevalence of comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia was analyzed, and the standardized comorbidity prevalence was calculated using the data from the Seventh National Population Census in 2020. A multivariable logistic regression model was used to analyze influencing factors of the comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia. Results A total of 12 616 residents were surveyed, including 4 992 males (39.57%) and 7 624 females (60.43%). The majority of residents were aged 60-<70 years, with 5 379 individuals (42.64%). A total of 1 044 residents were identified with the comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia, with a prevalence of 8.27% and the standardized prevalence of 6.17%. Multivariable logistic regression analysis showed that age (60-<70 years, OR=1.673, 95%CI: 1.425-1.964; 70-75 years, OR=1.586, 95%CI: 1.310-1.921), smoking (OR=1.301, 95%CI: 1.072-1.578), BMI (overweight, OR=1.458, 95%CI: 1.244-1.709; obesity, OR=1.919, 95%CI: 1.547-2.381) and central obesity (OR=1.509, 95%CI: 1.294-1.760) were influencing factors for the comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia. Conclusion The prevalence of comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia among residents aged 35-75 years in Jiangbei District was relatively high, and residents aged 60-75 years, smokers, people with overweight or obesity, and those with central obesity had a higher risk of comorbidity of hypertension, diabetes mellitus and dyslipidemia.
